Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States. Lincoln was able to preserve the Union during the United States Civil War and emaciate the slaves. Abraham Lincoln is regarded as one of U.S’s greatest heroes because of his mass appeal as well as his massive impact on the nation. Lincoln came from very humble beginnings and eventually rose to become the president of the United States of America. It all came to a sudden and very tragic end when he was assassinated at the time when his country needed him the most. Lincoln’s humane and distinctively human personality and historical role as the savior of the Union as well as the emancipation of the slaves has created a legacy that continues to endure time.
